About Talent Foundry

Funded by the Build 2 Scale grant in 2022 (it was funded in 2021), Talent Foundry is a UC San Diego program with a mission to bring together all the necessary resources and networks underrepresented founders need to grow and fund successful businesses around San Diego. Our vision is to make a positive difference not just in the lives of our participating founders, but also those they employ and serve. That is why we are focused on building a better, more inclusive tomorrow for our region, increasing economic growth, and all while changing the way our community thinks about what's possible for present and future entrepreneurs.

Why Do We Exist? 

San Diego has a vibrant economic and education ecosystem that has spawned industry leaders and world class companies for generations. Since our future depends on our collective ability to participate in and drive our regional economy, it is imperative to create a more diverse and inclusive network of leaders and visionaries. Talent Foundry is committed to building this network with better integration, inspiration, and support for diverse founders.
